I just picked up a 220 (or 225, depending on which calculation website I use).....72x24x30......

Anyways, I was thinking about POSSIBLY going with a ray or two, along with a clown knife, possibly a gar......MAYBE an Aro.....Is this tank big enough to house a Motoro for a long period of time?.....I had one for about a year in my 135, but sold it a while back.
Thanks for you input.

What would your list of tank mates be in this tank if I had 2 Motoros?

There is a lot of very useful information in those stickys.......Thanks for the reply.

It really depends on growth rate, filtration and water change schedule. But more so the rays growth rate. I'd say you could get a couple of years out of that tank though.

I keep a gar and dats with my rays. Not to crazy about keeping aros with them but a lot of people do. I just had a bad experience with the one I had. If you keep it to just 2 rays you should be good for a while. I started with a 200 but when I bought one, it turned into two then three and so on. You can run out of room really quick.

I would say you would be good for a long while. But I would say if your planning on a CK, then either get everything else bigger or pick one up after everything else has had some time to grow. They grow crazy fast.

I have 2 motoro in my 320g with a 18" clown knife and 5 pbass (all over 12"). My tank is getting a little full but I could probably put another female ray in there. The footprint of the tank is the most important (and lots of filtration). My tank bottom is 6' x 3'.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.....As of now, I'm keeping it Malawi.....BUT, I will probably get another Motoro down the road (When I switch to something else).....I really did enjoy my ray when I had her.
