thinking of getting indo datnoids

tell me the basics!

tank size, food, tank mates, if they're okay solitary or with other datnoids?

and also what kind of datnoid is good to start with

I would think a good beginner dat would be the Indonisian Tiger Datnoid(IT).
If you are going to start with the smaller ones it is good to get them eating pellets. I feed mine tetra color bits, crushed massivore pellets and they get diced shrimp twice a week.
What I have listed in my signature are excellent tankmates.
If you are going to get more then one I'd suggest getting five cause they constantlly bicker with eachother and having two or three means one of them will for sure take the blunt of the aggression.
 
get the big one save your time and money , beacuse they very slow grow

cool, i got an arow, 2 pbass and a motoro, im guessing 1 indo dat would be a good in wiht them.

you know anywere to order one for cheap?
 
If you don't want tigers to fight, best to just one. Or get 4 or more.
 
How big are the tankmates,i think an IT would be your best bet as NTTs seem more shy even though my small ones have doubled in size in a few months and the biggest are getting close to 6" now,not sure you will get a cheap biggish one but look at the classified and also craiglist is it over there.
Also as said above get one or 4 or more and dont underestimate how big they can get.
Most people see my 21"RTG then they see the nearly 15" IT and say crikey hes huuuge lol

Yes. A Datnoid would go great with that group.

If you were around me I could let you have my 7 incher for a hundred;)
Other then that you'll have to do a lil searching.
BTW he loves massivore;) and juruenese catfish:irked:
