Hey guys, I need some advice. I've been wanting to switch over to sponge filters in 6 of my 40 gallon breeder tanks. I was leaning towards one Hydro IV rated up to 80 gallons per tank, and have considered just making my own filters. But with cost being a factor, I am wondering what to use for an air supply.
cheap pumps tend to result in someone saying "you get what you pay for"
several small pumps gets expencive quick..
big pumps are also expencive..
at the same time if you have one big pump and it goes out then all your tanks are going to be running without filtration...
