I've been considering getting into toads for a while now. Like many here I'm sure, I used to catch them and bring them home, put them in a jar and watch them for an hour or so before letting them go. Well now I want to get a little more sophisticated with it.
I have an empty 10g sitting around and I think that would be sufficient for what I want. The toads I usually come across are Anaxyrus terrestris (Southern Toad) and Anaxyrus fowleri (Fowlers Toad). From what I've read neither are under any kind of protection, the fowlers stay smaller but dont like earthworms which would be the easiest thing for me to have plenty of.
Any advice? Is the tank big enough? Whats a good setup for them? How difficult are they? I cant seem to find any info specifically about keeping them as pets and dont want to assume info on other species applies.
Thanks
