Well i have this 10 gal tank sitting around that is not being used and i figured it would probly be cheaper to make my own? So the real question is how can i fix my 10 gal to be a wet dry? Any ideas from the pros, on what i will need ect? thankss

I think a 10 gal would be to small to hold the overflow when the pump is shut off. Usually the larger the sump the better. Rubbermaid type tubs are cheap and come in alot of different sizes. For the rest of the info you are looking for check out the filtration and diy forums, you will find everything you need.

There are other questions at hand...Like what size is the tank that this is to service, and are you looking for overflow volume?

There is no question that it will be cheaper to make it on your own. My brother paid around $250 for his wet/dry set up. I just built a three tank stand, wet/dry, sump filter and all of the plumbing for under $200.

Excellent, just remember to keep a digital camera close by and post lots of pictures of your progress. Good luck.
