thinking of putting a light above sump

so im thinking of adding a small light inside my stand above my sump tank to allow me to see everything better/properly when im in there, also that way pothos when I add them will have a source of light to suck up nitrates

so im curious what do you guys have and use ? I wanna go cheapest way possible, and lowest hydro use if I can get that all in one lol nothing no longer then 2ft ...thoughts and suggestions are all welcome

I would use CFL with a colour temp of about 6500k. Cheap and effective.

I use puck LED lights. the ones that you can plug in. 10 bucks for 3 and they will blind you haha.

well I thought bout a 6500k cfl bulb but then I have to get a base/socket and wire it up to plug in or flip a switch for work when needed.....

LED strip was a thought but locally the seem to be more expensive then other options

what do these LED pucks look like ? where can I get them, are do the mount easy ?

You can buy light sockets that plug into your normal 2 prong receptacle. Or maybe use those clamp on shop lights. Both available at wal mart.
