My current stock list is as follows.

14 inch silver arowana
3 bichirs( senegal and palmas)
1 severum
1 firemouth
1 angel fish
1 sun cat

most fish ive had for a while but i'm always wanting to do something new. ive redone my tank 2 times. the last time i did it was due to death of one my large pacu and jag cichlid. I've been thinking about getting another jag. Do you think all the fish will have to go or can some stay due to the common aggresion of jags. Tank is a 75 gallon and all fish are happy and have never had a problem so dont bash me for keeping an aro in the tank. I know how big they get but i cant set my large tank up in my apartment due to an ass of a landlord...

well, the aro's gonna grow past 14" soon.
if oyu cant keep the aro properly, bring it to the lfs. its that simple.

Well the aros not a problem if you're planning on trading it in when it gets too big. If the jag is small it'll be okay, but as it grows (especially a male), you may have problems...

Simon, How big is too big for an aro in a 75g?

The fish is too big already.

It's one thing for a pet store to house an aro that size in a small tank but not for a person keeping it as a pet.

Are you finished your exams yet?

im getting rid of the aro so this will open room greatly for a new fish or 2
Not really. 75 gallons is 75 gallons.Even getting rid of the aro, which will help, still leaves your tank a bit overstocked IMO.If you don't add to it,you should be fine.Unless aggression sets in.

im torn because ive been told the aro will free space up in my tank which i believe it will. i wanna do something different in the tank the firemouth is really the only fish that shows aggression in the tank so he may go too.
