I really want thins to be my next project, but the info Im reading is a little confusing. Do you guys have any suggestions that would make this easier? I want a small school, in a extra 75 gallon I have. I have plenty of extra filters, but the only exp I have with larger fish is my oscar. ANyone know of any reliable piranha care sheets I could look at?

Had to edit and say I wanted RBP, apparently thats the easiest to get a hold of.

GET reds you can only have 4 or 5 though, heavy filtration, feed silversides and shrimp, keep warm about 80 degrees, dim lights if any, waterchanges to keep bio good and ph steady , and your done;)

it really depends on how much you feed, how much they can eat, do you take out the left over food or not, what kind of filtration system you have on the tank and if the tank is planted or not. usually 30% water change should be fine but can do like 50% or more if you want, as long as you do not shock the bio filter media you'll be fine.
if you use gravel, make sure gravel vacuum well in every water change, sand will be a bit easier. if you are setting tank up now, I know Shark Aquarium and Aquascapeonline still have caribes in stock ~3" or so. if you are willing to pay the shipping get them instead of rbps.

Well you definetely came to the right place. You have any additional questions that the guys haven't already answered?

Caribes in a 75 is like a death sentance waiting to happen. Just stick to either a solo serra or 3 reds.

it all depends on the setup, amount of fish and the personality of those fish.
luck plays a big role too :)

I would get 4-5 caribes in case of some got murdered. if new to piranha, a solo fish in 75g can be boring, unless got lucky with a crazy SOB. a large fish will be more better than smaller one.

and as mentioned earlier, check local law cuz I think piranha mayb illegal in texas
