Im thinking of taking my 2 old 75 gallons apart an making a 4x4' cube aquarium for my rays. Question is is that glass thickness enough.

As far as I know it's the depth of the tank which states the glass thickness, so you should be OK as the tanks aren't going to be any deeper

OP wants to go 4'X4', so the depth of the tank will be increased significantly
 
I thought he was saying a 4x4 footprint so the finished tank would be the same height as the original tanks

the height of the tank determines glass thickness.... so if you want a true cube and make it 4L x 4H x 4W then the glass from a 75 will be too thin.

Ok, got it.
In the USA: width = side to side (length); depth (front to back); height is of course the tallness

You Brits sure do things strangely ;)
