I was looking on glasscages.com for a new tank and I came across the 240 long (8'x2'x2') with NO overflows and they price it at $450 and I live within driving distance of them so shipping wouldnt be a big problem.

Does anyone know where I can find a wet/dry big enough for a 240 that is cheap? I found one on globalpets.com its a Proclear 300 wet/dry with a prefilter for $250 plus $75 shipping. Anyone know of any other really good online stores or where I could anything else like good lighting cheap or a cheap UV sterilizer? Also this is going to be a FRESHWATER TANK.

look on the DIY section on this site plenty of ideas and plans for building sumps, light hoods and stands.

That is going to be my next tank, to me the 240 is perfect size. 24" is just high enough and you can still aquascape. Check the following for supplies...Is this a glass or acryllic aquarium?

www.melevsreef.com is a web site of some dude who has made some really cool sumps. He has an awesome step by step help. Truly, hats off to this guy.
You can modify his designs to fit your needs. I am super thifty: I made the overflow using the above web site as a guide.

And I made the sump for about $30. Also you are in luck that Easter time is here. The plastic Easter basket grass can make a good media for about $1.50/gallon. You can do a search on other media options.

any questions let me know.

Does your sump work well for your tank?
