This enough light for simple plants?

Hello, I've never gone for a full planted tank and am deciding to try it now. I'm just going to have simple java fern and amazon swords for now until I get the hang of those. Here is the light I am thinking of purchasing for my 90 gallon. Was just going to get the double : http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+19759&pcatid=19759 I will also be using 50/50 flourite / sand. Thanks

Check out the Current USA Nova Extreme T5HO, Catalina Solar T5HO & Coralife FW Aqualight before you buy. They're all nice units, but I've heard mixed reviews about the GLO fixtures. I don't remember what the gripes were, but look into it. I have the Coralife & my Amazon Swords, Java Fern, Java Moss, Anubias & Wisteria love it.

they dont come with bulbs,and theresd no on/off switch. go with a nova extreme

Those seem great I read some reviews and everyone loved them, come with mounting legs, and bulbs! One questions would white/white bulb combination be best? And 14k? Thanks

White/White combo would be best. The spectrum should be 6500K up to 10000K.
