I recently picked up this "Red Texas" a few days ago (which it certainly isn't). I reluctantly bought this is as my first FH type hybrid. A forum member on this site assured me that this was a young male Kamfa FH (I'm beginning to think otherwise).
In the first picture, notice the body shape, coloration, and shades of the fish (almost looks Mayan/Festae, JD, who knows?). I know that FH's can get stressed in dark, low light tanks; this is not the case.

In the second picture, notice how dark the baring is on this fish. He/she is eating fine and active within the tank, therefore this isn't indicative of a fish that's stressed. In this picture, he/she is quivering to burrow out a pit in the sand (usually a behavior I see in female CA/SA's that are ready to breed). I guess the reason I am posting again is that I believe this fish is female, and most likely an inbred (multiple species) mutt (not a true Kamfa FH). Will most likely be taking it back.
