Centrodoras Brachiatus got him from Jeff Rapps, wish he had more as I would've liked to have picked up more then one. I've only seen one other thread about these guys but maybe I missed others. Hopefully they'll get some attention with another thread about them out there and maybe increase the demand and we'll see them imported more often. Gotta say they're stunning. I've had Uranoscopus/Irwini as well as Granulosus and I think this guy looks cooler. Be wary when watching the vid, the music starts low but climbs suddenly and at very least might be annoying when doing so. Well here he is acclimating.

Nice,I had been contemplating getting one from Rapps.I already have two big irwinii though.

Thanks Krich, Irwini/Uranoscopus are cool the only reason I like this guy more is the coloration, max size and to be honest the rarity, other then that they're pretty much exactly like an Irwini. The Brachiatus has this blue grey coloration which doesn't show up well in my videos. Gotta say I'm always surprised how little responses I get to my threads, guess my likes in fish are way off of most others. Then again I do tend to like the unusual like my Trachycorystes, Apurensis and now the Brachiatus. Still can't change what you like. Here's another quick vid of him in the tank.

I was tempted to purchase one off Rapps but I don't have room now, might give in soon though :).

looks pretty cool dude!-) how big do they get, stay a bit smaller? i had a 5 spot jewel thread the other day that got no replys at all even after a bump so your not alone lol...

Unfortunately I scooped up the last one sorry. Hopefully Jeff will get more in as I told him I'd like to get a group if I could. I'm also hoping he gets more Lithodoras dorsalis in as they're another fave of mine. Jeff told me he might be getting in some true Rhinodoras dorbignyi as well as some other catfish goodies in the coming week so you'll have some cool fish to choose from if your thinking about buying from him.

Thanks man, and yeah those sections can be pretty quiet. I got crickets when I posted my Tarantsy and Menerambo. So I can imagine lol! Now I just gotta figure how to get him to make more appearances so I can enjoy him more. As for max size they supposedly max out at 16 inches making them one of the more manageable of the Doradidae.

I think hes blue color shows, good in this video.
Thanks, his color is similar to Cetopsis coecutiens in my opinion. I like the contrast on him and those plates very prehistoric lookin.

Beautiful :)

Any luck they will reach asia :D
Thanks man, I hope so too for your sake they are great fish and need a greater presence in home aquaria.

Well about any catfish I've seen on Rapps site is generally an awesome one so somebody remind me when he gets a shipment in :).
