This is a baby azul right?

I bought a baby peacock bass from a vendor here labeled as an azul. He was 2" back then and he's about 4" now.

Hes not showing much blue on him though and i think maybe it's a temensis. I'm just wondering if its really an azul? If it is then how big so they need to be for them to start showing blue on the body?

Yes sir! That is indeed an azul. I didnt get any blue until around 10"

Looks exactly like my azuls did at 5"-6"

I'm no expert but looks like a tem to me. Baby azuls are usually grey and blue with 5 vertical bars and a faint thin horizontal line...
