here you go man, a recent shot. this guy is a damn tank, built like a brick!!!!! hard to believe he looked so small just back in august when i got him from you. here's a pic from your thread. id say he's over 18" now :)

his stripes come and go, as does the blue color on his dorsal

holy cow! that big boy has grown.he looks mighty happy. one of these days i'll have to come see your cichla in person. thanks for the update....his color is only gettn better.

yeah man he's definitely one of my favorites in the tank. absolute powerhouse when feeding!!! let me know when youll be in town :)
 
I always like the girth of the ocell's.....Great color on that beast.
