This is how i clean my Filter / Micon pads

all you need is

GARDEN HOSE ADAPTER TO ¼" QUICK FITTING or you can DIY one this device here can act like a power washer..

i can get 40psi when running full blast on a facet

never twist or ball up your filter pad... just blast it...

That a great way, I've tried it in the past except we have a waterflow reducer on our line as the taps kept blowning up internally. I now use a high pressure hose and pump to clean them, easier and doesn't miss shape them either.

That's why I switched to micron rated nylon mesh. Just rinse out and reuse. They will last many moons! Comes in bags,(socks) or by the yard. www.aquaticeco.com

when i fill up a bucket for water changes, i simply take the filter pad, dunk it over and over in the water to shake off any debris, and it does a pretty damn good job with my filters. haven't had to replace a filter pad since i bought the filter yet. (about a year now)
