outside measure is appx 7' 5" x 4' 11" 1/2 x 3' 1"
inside measure is appx 6' 5" x 3' 11" 1/2 x 2' 9"
viewing window measures 6' x 2' 3" (add 2" to each dimension for measure of glass)

it uses 2x6s almost exclusively with a few 2x4s and 2x1s elsewhere (mostly in the window)

oops forgot to mention this is a 2 piece tank so it can be taken apart and carried through a standard doorway (it come apart where you see the 4 little circles on the 2x6 near the middle of the wall on the width wall [front to back])

I'd say it's way overbuilt, but then again if you look at my build I'm not one to talk! lol

Correction: its actually 580 gallons roughly surprised no one caught it. off by almost 150g:nilly:

It's built to withstand the wrath of God, a hurricane, a tornado, and nuclear holocaust, AND it fits through your door.:headbang2
Almost forgot and the neighbors trees

I might add 12 inches or 36 to the height when I can build it.;)

P.S.
yes I like the smilies

overbuilt? no such thing:D

:OFF TOPIC:

completely off topic, but today I scored a 4" strawberry peacock cichlid for $12 saw it was $39.99 at thatpetplace.com:headbang2
I love my LFS (Ms. Tony Jrs) can't beat mom and pop style stores :grinno:

:ON TOPIC:

If you add 1 foot to the height you'd have a lucky tank 777g

I agree there is there's no such thing as overbuilding, only over spending;)
as they say its better to have and not need than to need and not have and the amount of money that'd be put into stocking that I'd like to have more

PS necro If I had the money every tank I designed would use the same proportionate amount of lumber as yours
