I owe a lot of credit (or blame) to this site for my involvement in the hobby. Fish-keeping was a hobby before I discovered MFK, now it's a way of life.

Welcome back.

I've always had a small 10g or something running, but never really put the time and effort into my other tanks. I moved into my own apt and decided it was time to get the 55g back up and running. It was slow going for a while, just kept getting busy and the tank kept getting put on the backburner. I was researching fish for my masters thesis and somehow I came across MFK. I joined immediately and have spent the majority of the last week on this website getting ideas.

Today, I went full bore, cleaned the tanks thoroughly, re-arranged them and have started some smaller DIY things. As soon as I get into my first house, my DIY pond will be in full effect.

All thanks to a week on MFK, I cant wait to see where a month or a year takes me....

It was barely more than two years ago that I started keeping fish, and about a year and a half ago that I found MFK. I went from a 20g to nearly 1000 gallons total since then. Keep us updated on how a year treats you.
