I've used that corrugated roofing as a lid before. I don't see how it could be used to seal a tank though.

Very flimsy without additional support and its corrugated, not flat.
 
Ya I agree im just not seeing it and I feel im an outside the box thinker with most stuff being used multi purpose.

I mean like build a plywood tank, and silicone the roofing to the plywood, really just as a way of waterproofing

Also I don't believe silicone adheres well to PVC. Or at least not well enough to form a water tight seal under pressure.

I would just build the plywood frame and use a drop in pond liner. Probably just as cheap and no need to worry about leaks.
