Okay heres what im dealing with! ever since i got my silver arowana its had some rough fin cuts. Its lives in 225 gallon with a tiny 2 inch pleco. My silver is 5 inches long has fine/perfect water condition just tested everything looks great. But the fins do look terrible. Mostly the pectoral fins they look like the've actually been burnt:irked: i feel bad for the guy im doing the best i can filtering(huge 85 sump) and 2 AC 110's heres what i think since i have 2 300 watt heaters horizontal in the tank that may be the burn issue. Please reply need and opinions. I took me 4 months to finally get one

Any pix to show the condition of the fin? Could be fin rott or fungus. Does it has cotton/white fuzzy stuff on the fin?

Pictures are simply impossible to get i try everyday in the morning to get a picture, and there is no sign of fin rott or any type of fungus. So i just move the heaters towards the bottom of the tank since the arow is always swimming at the top. Weirdest thing ever

Pt the heaters in the sump.
Keep the water clean and add some salt. it should heal.

Somehow I fail to see a silver aro sitting against the heating element area of and aquarium heater long enough to get burnt. Pics are need for a proper diagnosis.

Its nearly impossible to get a pic of its fins with my camera. I dont think its from jumping either. How should a Arowana be breathing(hope that made sense) should is open close its mouth really fast or slowly?

most will say it's better to grow out a small aro in a smaller tank (easier to find food, easier to maintain, etc), I would recommend quarantining him and get him back to health asap.
