allright im redoing my 210 in a couple weeks!

I was thinking of getting playsand{ive heard that was good for rays?}
well heres how its gunna be
the whole tank is going to be cleared for the rays except for the two back corners which will be two big peices of drift wood and covered in plants, then the back of the tank will be some planst maybe java fern and amazon sword.then for tankmates i was thinking one jardini, 2 florida gars, a jag cichlid, midas,and maybe a royal or CK, and bunch of silver dollars and a fei feng also maybe a catfish of somekind? Filtration will be 2 xp4's, s AC 110's, a 55gallon sump and a couple power heads. for the rays i was thinking either 1 motoro or a couple of retics or hystrix.


what do you guys think??

and before you all go saying the cichlids will kill the rays and what not all my fish so far are very gentle and if something happens i have a couple spare tanks waiting just incase a insident happens.

Plants don't last long in a ray tank and just get up rooted. Jardini are the only aros not to be kept with rays, chances are that the Jags will eat all the food before it gets to your rays, so it won't work with them in there. Filtration sounds very good.
]Motoros grow large and can out grow a 210 within a year, but retics are fine.

you think discus or angels would work?
 
They get eaten pretty easily too:( . Most geos are fine with rays, and so are dats.

pool filter sand is fine right, cause thats what im getting instead or play ssand
