I always figured that Kuhlis would be fine in my rimless 10 gallon, as long as I kept the water level a couple inches below the top of the glass... Lesson learned, to say the least.

When I was a beginner fish keeper of about 7 or 8 I learned how crafty eels are when my eel escaped and made its way through the house and almost gave my mother a heart attack when she found him on the kitchen floor. I haven't had any eels since but if I ever do I will have that lid buttoned down tight haha
