Just wanted to say thanks to all the members on here who take the time and patience to help those of us who have no clue ... or in my case completely clueless. Whether by posting what works for you, sharing sound sensible practices or just plain letting someone know they're doing something wrong. Thanks for the time spent making the sticky's (should've read some of those a long time ago) and just plain sharing your love for the hobby. I can see the difference in my tanks because of this site.
I'm not much of a computer guy (my wife made me buy our first one 5 yrs ago) and only ever really used it to stay in touch with my two babysisters via facebook (the oldest graduates HS this year) and email (which I hate checking). So never really knew there were sights like this, mainly joined to get feeding tips on a fish I picked up a little while ago. Sure over the past year or so, I started peeking at sites like this (but mainly this one ... guess it was the title) and most of the info contradicted what I was originally told with my first tank (had a 30 gallon given to us with fish in it already ... it was over stocked I now know .... plus contained fish that were too big for said tank ... they were moving and my oldest son wanted it). After a bit I wanted more .... hmmm guess I caught the bug.
The next 30 gallon I followed what I originally learnt with my first tank ... ending up with fish too big for my tank and said tank becoming overstocked ... which helped kill the fish I wanted the feeding advise for. :( Plus it was probably just dumb luck that I lost as little fish that I did. Then I started to read and read and read and ask questions. Then I started to finally change some things. I've alot to still learn, haven't lost any interest (instead gaining more and more interest) and can't seem to stay off this sight. My wife laughs at me because I now use the computer more than anyone else in the house combined (pretty much always here) and I was the one against its purchase in the first place.
I'd be still lost without this site (and sites like it), and I'm seeing the improvements in my tanks because of it. As well I'm starting to do things I never had a clue about like curing driftwood, starting to grow some plants and moving up to a 55 and starting it from scratch.

my tanks are looking better and not over stocked ... just to figure out what to put in the 30 gallon with the ship now and what to top off my 55 gallon with.

my senegal bichir and synodontis ocellifer are now in a tank that suits their size ... plus plants are growing and showing new shoots/leaves

noticed today most of my zebra snails are growing this is one of my larger ones, still pretty small but now I know why. :)

and not sure but I think the one shrimp might be carrying eggs, if so I've had them (4) for at least 3 yrs, and I've never seen that before. If they are eggs, I'm not expecting much survival due to their tank mates.
So please everyone keep posting, sharing and helping those of us who need the help. Thanks to all of you and as well thanks for all your patience, especially for us thick-headed nitwits who have problems asking for help.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Your welcome. It's a great place to learn. Things are looking better I can see.

Thanks for the compliment Aquanero, I think they're looking better as well. I have no idea how you Moderators formulated this site, but hats off to all of you once again.
