Has anybody seen the commercials for the perfect dog system??

FInd the infomercial and watch the opening scene. It says "may not work on pitbulls or dogs breed to be aggressive"
Really? A system supposed to be for proper training of dogs and such and instead it furthers the stereo type of pitbulls and such. They are some of the best dogs, its the owners that screw up the animals:irked:

yea pretty much there also breed to be aggressive so technically its like stereotyping a ethnic...but yea there are dogs out there worse than pitbulls i actually find pits very loving but like chow chows i find more devious

Uh oh another pit bull thread.....I completely agree though. It's the owners that make them that way. Not the dogs fault. Actually there is a dog in our neighborhood that keeps attacking other dogs and he atacked ours. We screamed at the lady and the next day we got a letter on the porch saying she was putting the dog down. Idk....I just felt really bad for the dog. it wasn't his fault he was so aggressive. He was probably abused or had no human interaction. There's my story for the day :)

i agree with Ashley-its all in how the dog is raised. i have known some pretty nasty chihuahuas lol.

Yeah those little buggers are mean, they will grab onto our ankles. Idk I think there is something about a pit bulls nature that is unpredictable. I knew one that was "the sweetest dog ever" and a kid was petting her (didn't pull her tail or anything like that) and it turned around and pretty much mangled the kids hand. I mean any dog could be unpredictable but some breeds more than others. Like there have probably been more instances where a dog has been sweet and then turned on you and bit you by a pit bull rather than a lab. Different breeds have different natures. It has A LOT to do with how they are raised.....just saying. I love pits and bullys they're great dogs don't get me wrong...

It's both. Pitbulls are a terrier....terriers ARE bred to be "aggressive". Don't forget the dogs' history, people.

Pitbulls were bred to be catchdogs, just like rat terriers were bred to hunt rats, jack russells to hunt other game, Basenji's to chase game into nets, etc.

All of these dogs share aggressive tenancies: They WERE bred to keep that trait in them. However, they were not bred to go after humans. Likewise, they weren't ORIGINALLY bred to go after dogs. This is a somewhat new phenomenon.

Yes, it is 100% the owner, not the dog. But don't through away the dogs traits....we made them that way.

My grandmas pomeranian mix attacks little kids to the point of a couple of them geting bit to the point of blood. They dont even have to do anything but be there and he will go out of his way to attack them. He's never been around mean kids either and had a pretty spoiled puppyhood.
