As a military buff, I can understand the magnitude of it. Also that 60 years prior, these two ships would be exchanging cannonfire as opposed to tear jerking support.

Ever since learning as a youngn what the people of america did to our service men from Nam , I've strongly supported our troops. No matter what my feelings on the battles they are orderd to fight are.

I can really take that to heart. The people in our military do not make the policy. Thier willingness to go where they are told, and do what they are told, despite thier beliefs of wrong or right, are what make them deserve the utmost respect. No matter how I feel about why they are there, they still deserve every ounce of honnor we can muster.
