Hi all,

So my lil ray, I bred myself, and was born in late June last year. I went on holiday and I came back to my 4 week old litter on the brink of death, don’t think they’d eaten the whole time I was gone.
I managed to save all but one with constant target feeding.
Now when I sold the rest of the litter, they were all double this lil fella’s size at 4 months old. He still hasn’t grown! He’s just over 7 months old.

I think his stunt in growth must have been due to him nearly dying, I just hope nothing happens to him as concerned to no growth.

He’s about 4inches across, in one of pics you’ll see the tile that he’s on, that’s a 15cm tile.

Well even if he stays small he's still a very pretty lil BD. And who knows maybe he just turned out to be a dwarf. Keep us posted on this lil guy and how big he gets or how small he stays.

I had a Siamese algae eater that was similar to your ray, he wouldn’t grow while his buddies did. He later started growing after a year.
