How often do you guys do water changes and what water percentage?

I am curious because I myself have a lot of tanks and I notice many people (of course) on here having half a dozen or more large tanks from 55 gallons and up.

So I just wonder with each person, how long it takes to do your water changes especially!!

well i have a WAY overstocked 20g that i change every 25% everyother day
then on my hundred will prb be 20% weekly or whatever
 
55G and 170G, 50% weekly on both. Takes maybe 90 minutes?
 
i do larger than "normal" changes on my 250 and 55g goldfish tank. generally changing out around 75% of the water. ive personally never had an issue wth this, but thats because the PH of my tanks generally wasent much higher than what was in the tank the few times i tested it.

properly treated water that matches your tanks PH straight from the tap will eliminate PH shock for your fish, which IMO is the biggest issue to worry about.
 
on my 125 i do approx 50% every 2 days or so. Same with my 100 growout. The others get 50% each week. The average time i spend on my tanks at any 1 time is about 3 hrs.

I myself have a 75gal, a 55 gal, a 29 gallon, 30 gallon, three ten gallons, and 2-2 gallon tanks, One tank is a brackish-water tank that takes extra time too.

It just seems to take me hours to get done. I suppose obvious reason is cause I carry 2- 1 gallon containers to fill up. One I carry a full one, the other fills. I suppose 50-75% on a 75 gallon tank just won't take 5 minutes to fill. I would use the hose before with no harmful affects, I just get paranoid about the chlorine and -if- it is getting neutralized as I add little bits of water conditioner to the stream every couple of minutes. I also continually double-check the temps of the hose water and the tank's too.

Problem is, I won't be able to fill up with a hose in the wintertime!:nilly:
 
4x125 =25% a week
1x55= 33.5% a week
1x29 =52.5% a week
1x90 =30.3098% a week
1x700 =25% a week
2x10=25% a week

CRAP....it takes me 8 hours.

How do you fill up your tanks? And where do you drain? You could have an awesome garden with all that water drained out.
 
i know.....but mostly a rock garden. but i drain each tank one by one and fill one by one, i have a water hose that can go through the whole house.... i love it.
