Can lungs handle sugar?

I was going to buy my African lung some seafood sticks as a treat but they have quite abit of sugar and preservatives in them so i let it pass.

Anyone know if he would enjoy it or should i just not bother with them?

I would think pass...they aren't exposed to sugars in the wild, so I would avoid them in captivity. I wouldn't think they have the proper system to metabolize sugars.
