Here was some fun action this morning in the tank between my Green terror and a little male salvini. I was lucky enough to snap some half way decent picks in time of the battle that ensued. They are both only about 4" so keep that in perspective. Even with the Sals little fangs the Gt was pulling him around and giving him the business! Eventually, in the last pic, the texas stepped in and broke up the fight. Last survey says this GT is female. Either way, it has one serious bone to pick with the tank and everyone in it. Definitely trying to make itself a place in the hierarchy.

Funny! I guess the Tex is the referee. Is your GT a female? All of the fish pictured look healthy.
Someone thought this could maybe be courting behavior.... But can a central and south american cross breed like this?
Without a moving video it's hard to say, but seeing as how they ended up by the flower pot, it looks like a date. Whether or not they lay sterile or fertile eggs I cannot guess, but they might lay them anyway. Or it's just territorial. You'd know by their actions as they battled through the tank.
Man! I woke up this morning and turned on the light. Very shortly these two were at it again. Don't know what is happening with these two.
