I was reading through a site and came across this. It sucks that this restaurant must have had so many complaints they finally just put up a note "from the fish" that states its happy in a tank that is clearly to small. Although if that fish really is 32 years old (which I doubt) that is impressive.

Honestly, if I lived near by, I would break into that restaurant after hours and steal it to find a better home. I mean, last resort kind of deal.

I think that instead insisting that the Pacu is fine when people who know better know that it's in a cramped space they should put a little fund for a bigger tank.

surely they could afford a 220 or something like that for it...

what's the tank size? link doesn't post it. hard to say if it's too small without a better photo either.

true. for all we know the fish is in a 220g already but is 30" long...
not at all hard to do with a pacu.

32 years should have given enough time to save money for an indoor pond or other monstertank.
Sure, the fish can be happy cuz he doesn't know any better, but given a lot of space could easily make him MORE happy!
I've seen such incredible change in behaviour and growth when fish are provided with reasonable space to live, that I'd never resolve to cramped quarters anymore!

wonder what size tank it is.... The note is absurd. That would be fun to put on some tactical gear and sneak in there to steal it and put it in a bigger tank.
