Nothing like getting home from a long day at work and finding this. At least I don't have to leave for work for 6 hrs. Ughhhhhhh. Any suggestions while I build up my nerve? Not a big fish, 14" or so.

I've never had to tackle this myself "yet" but if I did have to do this I would bring the Ray up and into a container pop it on the floor put a towel over it to prevent being tagged reaching my hand into where front of the Ray is and pull it out hard n fast like pulling a bandaid ,

Tupperware lid on the floor, pvc pipe over the tail, and a pair of pliers. Pulled her out, yanked it out, back in the tank in 30 seconds. Eating like a pig this morning. Easier than I thought

Great work. Funny this post comes the day my male shed his barb and I didn't have a chance to pull it out until I get home from work today... here's hoping I don't gotta go through the same thing, and that I can find the barb now lol.

Thanks for the replys everybody. Ray acts like nothing happened now that I'm home from work. I think I was more traumatized from the whole ordeal. Looking at the bard now, that sucker was in there pretty deep!
