ok im new to the whole saltwater stuff but i've been doing my research and im going to turn my 75 gallon into a saltwater tank.... heres the list on the stuff i've found that I will need to buy/build and would like imput on anything I might have missed.

protein skimmer = aquac remora pro HOB protein skimmer

heater = Fluval E Series heater 300watt

powerheads = 2x Aqueon Circulation Pump 1250 model running 1250 GPH each (this to much flow?)

filter = DIY 20 gallon sump/refuguim with mag drive 7 pump at 7000GPH

lighting = this? http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/Product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=22134 the 48inch saltwater model would this be good enough corals?

RO/DI unit = 4-stage Maxxima RO/DI

hows that look on the equipment? I miss anything?

For sand im gonna go a deep sandbed with something like this https://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+9805+16764&pcatid=16764

and rocks im gonna use 80 pounds of fiji live rock

Ok does it look like im going to be off on a good start or...?

Excellent choice of skimmer. Pay the extra couple of dollars to get the drain part added on so that you can just have it drain to a bucket rather than having to empty the collection cup often.

heater = Fluval E Series heater 300watt

Sounds fine to me. Just be sure that you pay close attention to the water temperature and don't let it get too hot.

Look into the Hydor Koralia powerheads; they're supposed to be the best bang for your buck.

filter = DIY 20 gallon sump/refuguim with mag drive 7 pump at 7000GPH

Sounds fine, but you might want to do a bigger sump if you're going to heavily stock the aquarium.

It probably will be fine for only low light corals as a single unit. You may want to look into at least a four bulb fixture or metal halides.

RO/DI unit = 4-stage Maxxima RO/DI

I'm not sure on this one; I personally don't use RO/DI because my water is pretty good and lacks any bad chemicals such as chlorin or anything else that could be harmful.

You don't need to have a deep sand bed if you don't plan on having burrowing critters; you should be fine with just 2" of sand without the burrowers. Also, you can save some money and just get plain aragonite; it will eventually be "live."

Awesome I thought it was a good one hehe. Yup I plan to get the draining part...just seems more conveneint.

will do...I plan to have the heater in my sump and will place two thermometers in the sump (just incase something happens to one) and have one on the tank itself

Ok thanks I'll look into them.

Im not planning on heavily stocking my aquarium but i'll see if I can find something bigger that'll fit in my stand just incase

Ok instead of that light how's the "Current Nova Extreme pro" sound? heres link to it http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+18700&pcatid=18700

Oh nice I envy you haha.... I gotta filter the water in my house before I drink it (taste's bad)

Yea I haven't really decieded on sand but I probably won't get the live sand and I just like the look of a deep sand bed.

Sounds good to me.
