Does any 1 know if FLORAPRIDE is a good nutriant substance for plant growth, bought it at my lfs they recommended it? just seein if any 1 here has used it
I have just recently tried it I can say that its better than no fertilizer in my tanks. I saw pretty good growth in a tank that had gone months without fertilizer. I have a feeling something like flourish would be a much better option however I am at the mercy of my LFS which dont carry flourish or excel unfortunately so I am waiting on an internet order. I have begun fertilizing with this and nutrafin plant gro which is a micro nutrient liquid fertilizer. Flourapride is a 0-0-3 (N)nitrogen (P)phosphorous (k)potassium. So its 0% nitrogen 0% phosphorous and 3% potassium in the form of soluble potash. It also has .19% iron.
You will probably do better with flourish and flourish trace or a dry fertilizer regime but overall with the addition of liquid micro nutrients it seems to work for me.
Personally I haven't been impressed with flourish, but I don't run CO2 either.. Florapride I've used on and off for years. imo it's excellent for low-light non-CO2 systems w/ the use of substrate tabs. Crypts, swords, and oddly enough Vals do really well w/ this suppliment ime.
