next to da beech... boyee
hello new to this sight looking for help.
woke up this morning to find water all over the floor and the fish tank stand. it seems that the leak is coming from the seal around the bottom of the tank. i dry the tank and water slowly seeps up from the tanks bottom plastic molding. i am wondering if it is due to me changing the filters around. about a week ago i took off my penguin 200 and attached an old magnum 350 to my undergound filter with a little custom pluming. it seemed to be running great, but now i think that with so much suction from the 350 it may have sucked up some loose silcone creating a leak.... would this be possible? any tips on repair? do i have to seal it from the inside or could i get away with sealing the plastic molding on the out side? it is a 30 gallon oct with 12 exos and a crayfish

I have always been told the best way to re-seal a tank is to clean the entire thing, very well.. and do it completely over.

or buy a new one ;)

Trim away any sealant you can get at and wash the seams with white vinegar, after drying completely seal the seams from the inside making sure to leave no gaps and allow the sealant to cure according to direction on the tube. that should do it.

i have a bigger tank... this tank is just for some exodons they don't need that much room for a small pack....as far as big tanks ; i am planning on getting a 240g relitively soon.
i sealed up the tank and it is drying. was not too bad to repair. though it was extremely hard to catch 12 exos
