I just purchased a large male bamboo cat shark and for some reason it keeps attacking my California stingrays tail? I am going to return the stingray tomorrow because I really love the new shark but I also like the stingray.

It's either agression (not enough space) or he's hungry (feed him more).

I bumped up his feeding to every day and it was doing good until I missed feeding him one day then that morning me and my daughter went down to feed and the stingray started to get excited for the food and the shark came out and again attacked the stingray taking a huge chunk out of the tale. A few day later the stingray perished. Now I would like to get another stingray but I am worried. What's weird is all of the other smaller fish are fine with him.

don't buy another stingray! You want that to happen all over? The ray is a easy target compared to small fish that the shark might not be able to catch. It would seem now you can't have both.
