Yeah, ...Endlers are nice. But, how did you get from 'discussions of aquariums and fishkeeping' to favorite fish? A bullit statement naming your favorite fish is a far cry from being an opener for a discussion.
Hard to say just one.
I like a certain combination of fish, as they compliment each other.
At the moment i really like this combination:
Angels
Amano shrimp
Ottos
Bolivian Rams
Rummynose tetras
Vjieta II
Bristlenose Pleco
Cory Sterbai
Good combination of colours, and activity all over the place.
But a single fish as a favorite, it's probably the Clown Knifefish.
