This time a zebra danio jumped into my AC70 filter. The lighting is better in this video. I bought them yesterday and found one in the filter this morning. Usually pearls are the ones I have trouble with. The media basket seems to be doing a good job of preventing them from entering the motor chamber. Any ideas on how I can prevent them from doing this, without lowering the water level? I was thinking some sort of plastic mesh, but I'm not sure how much that would interfer with filter maintance.

Found two in the filter last night. One had managed to find its way into the motor chamber . Luckily it was unhurt. Was a real pain getting him out of there.

As a temporary solution I put a filter sponge on top of the bio media. It is held in with the top clips on the media basket, but is about an inch about the water line. There is nowhere for them to swim anymore, so my hope is that that will fall back down the waterfall. Another possibility is that they might make a second jump and land on top of the sponge or the aquarium hood :(.

The sponge has raised the water level in the filter higher than I would like. The water level is high enough, in the filter, that some of it is trickling out of the part where the input pipe comes in. New suggestions would be appreciated. If I don't get any responces, I'll start a new topic in DIY
