This True For U Too? Just An Isolated Incident?

Hi I was wondering if this seems to happen to you as well as I have been finding this to be true at my local craigslist:

Fancy brand name show display aquarium setups (ex: ada, eheim, red sea, nuvo) on craigslist seem to be insignificantly marked down in price compared to cheap 95%+ off tanks.


Ex:
I can get an aqueon 55g full setup with stand for 80$ but when I want a rimless ada co2 planted tank good luck finding 1 for more than 20% maybe 30% less than the retail price. Even heavily used good luck.


Why is this?

I think part of it is how much people think the item is worth, and how desperate the seller is.

Coz ADA is possibly the most expensive brand out there for planted tanks...

I told you before if you were to setup a brand new 50G ADA tank using only their equipment (not including plants or fish) you will be paying at least USD $1000+ for the setup...

I'm a big fan of their products and have priced out a full ADA setup not long ago for fun and realized it would cost double what i paid for my current 50G planted tank setup which included everything...

Also as mentioned before in one of your other threads, ADA tank are NOT made from regular glass, they use Crystal on their tanks for higher clarity...
