Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
My old GoPro bit the dust a while back, and I finally broke down and replaced it.
I'm experimenting with the new one in the sea near a rock strewn area, across the street from my house.
My plan is to hit fresh water areas down the road, but for now.
Sergent Major's and a few parrot fish.
One of of my first attempt below.

Nice! If you are so close to the sea, why bother with freshwater. Start a saltwater tank to keep more colorful coral fish. What keep me from trying saltwater is the cost and tediousness in making saltwater. You can just go across the street and pick up saltwater for free.

Clearer water today, but the jellyfish drove me out early.
Taboga just off shore
Following a puffer theater day, the tide rolled in, with the quickness.

Another day in paradise.

When i stayed in kona for a week, i got up with the sun every morning, climbed down the rocks outside my bedroom, jumped in the water and explored the reefs at least until lunchtime every day, even after the sun had burnt blisters into my back.

I envy this. Hope i can retire to such a place one day. Hope it still exists when i get there.

Very cool!! Can't wait to see what footage you get in the agua dulce!! How is the surf in your area of Panama? As a surfer I'm always curious to hear about Central American waves. Some areas of Panama received MASSIVE waves earlier this week!!

Very cool videos, I’m super jealous!

are the sounds in the videos (aside from you’d snorkelling sounds) just the sounds in the ocean? It’s more noise than I would of expected....lots of crackles and clicking

Idon't see surfing as viable on the island, most of the time, it's fairly calm on the inhabited side, and the uninhabited side is remote, and mostly rocks, not much beach.

Lots of paddle boarding on the alee side, so you can imagine how calm it is most of the time.
There is a paddle board event/race once every year, where people start near Panama City and paddle the 10 miles to Taboga.
I hear lots of surfers tend to go to Bocas del Toro.
