My Tarpon outgrew my Red Tailed Cudas so he got an upgrade...... Off to the 300. Well the 300 hasn't been overly accepting of the new addition.

Some pics of the carnage........

As you can see from the second pic there's also a ray (or 2) in the tank, but it appears to me the teeth that done it are much sharper then the rays????

Yey or nay?

Bite looks to wide to be atf but is at the top of the fish which kind of points away from the wolf lol, is your atf girl close to that of the bite, cause the jaw can move and scrape when bitten down still, in which case I'd say the atf since its from above

Edit: having a second look you can see a clear bite mark in the first pic of it up close and its is pretty thin, I think atf

I thought with the space between gashes...... Wolf.

I'm really at a loss here. Feel like I need to move somebody........

Sorry, guess I overlooked this potential candidate. Meet Scooter. The tail-less Goonch.

I overlooked this guy cause all he does is scoot around, without a tail I don't see him as much of a predator but I suppose if the if the Tarpon thought the same thing maybe he would have never saw it coming???

A closer look at the back wound may help so r the wounds tear like or slice like? Also how did the goon have lose his tail ?

Hard to say slice or tear....

Just looks to me like the overall mark is too wide to be atf and it looks like the slices have a small space in between them. Kind of like either the Goonch or wolf.

The Goonch had its tail removed by a larger wolf. Lone survivor out of 3. Turns out the Hoplias really don't care for the company of Goonch (in my experience). The wolf in this tank has proven to be really tolerant of anything it's been housed with thus far but maybe things have changed?
