I was going to order some pasionis this week and now they're out of stock. Instead they now have aureus & ellioti. They'll be running me about $8 a piece @ 2-3" or I can get full grown sexed adults for $18 each.

I can't decide which ones I like better so I'm asking the people who have seen/kept these. Which one would you keep? I'm leaning towards aureus because it looks less like a firemouth. I'd like to keep the less aggressive as the two. If it means anything, my pH is 8. You decide for me. Anyways, I'm off to the store to buy some amphilophus altifrons.

I've been trying to get those two without success. I can access Pasiones and Mixteco Gold. IMO, get the two, Aureaus and Ellioti, that's what I would do. And get adult sizes if possible.

I'd get both ;) but if you had to choose, then aureus is the choice...I've wanted these for a couple of years

BTW Ellioti are know Maculipinnis. Personally i'd go for the Maculipinnis not as brightly coloured as aureus but beautiful.

Why not go for the Meeki which Ken posted about on the thread you made? They will look stunning, Ive seen Wild and F0 of the same collection point.

If i was you i'd get the Helleri from Rapps :)

I don't like Rapps his prices suck and shipping makes them worse. These will be picked up locally and come from the same places Rapps gets his anyways. I won't be able to get rid of meeki fry so theres no point keeping a pair of them.
