Thorichthys ellioti tank mate= 60 gallon tank

Hi I am going to have a Thorichthys ellioti in my tank and want another cichlid to put in when I set up the tank. Are there any acaras that would do well or any cryptoheros that would work. Thanks inadvance
 
Do you just have the t. ellioti now? IMO any a blue acara or any cryptoheros sp. should be ok. Also what about a nic?
 
I haven't set the tank up yet. I did think about nics but I read that they don't always get great colours
 
My Honduran Red Points are doing well with my Thorichthys Meeki. I think they are a nice combo
 
I have always thought they would do well together but just yesterday I heard a guy at my LFS telling the people his firemouth keeps killing the accara he puts in. I only say this because it depends on the temperament of the fish. I think typically Accara will do well.

I've had a think and I'm gonna go with a cryptoheros. Can any body name some cryptos because I don't no many
 
Not many species mix well with T ellioti.... the males can be quite nasty in my experience.
