Now my questions:
How long Thorichthys maculipinnis will care abt fry,my tank is CA but beside I breed: Archocentrus saica 1+1, Cichlasoma salvini, Labeo bicolor (I know, shoudn't B here but what to do with fish  Left after prev.tank :D) ,Peckoltia sp. (L103),Crossocheilus siamensis x5 (same as with Labeo).
Im afraid that fry can B devoured by other,so any suggestions or to leave it in natures hand?
Feeding:Ive already started with plant of Artemia salina & what alse?
Last my question abt differences between male & famale,in my pair I see top fin of male a little longer & female dark stain on there.
I just ask abt it couse one of my ellioti was bited to death probably by other ellioti and (or) young saica.

In my country knowledge of that fishes is very poor,Thorichthys ellioti R breeded here for short time.
Thanks in advance for a piece of advice :1zhelp:

No,its not,but they both belong to same order of Perciformes.Discovered same year as meeki, similar to meeki but not so aggressive while mating & spawn, keeping clearance of alien in area abt 30cm away of spawn ; Occurrence:CA.Doble named Thorichthys maculipinnis=Thorichthys ellioti.
No idea whats the english name of fish,my english is not so good as polish
In my eyes looks better than meeka, but its just my opinion :D

your tho.ellioti pair are stunning how big are they. i ahve 4 i think 2 male and 2 female, these are very aggressive to there own kind and i have lost 3 due to it and 2 are seportaed from the other 2. if you want to raise them sucessful remove the fry to an emty tank with a seeded sponge filter and feed baby brine shrimp until big enough for flake. they will be eventually eaten by the sajicas otherwise......

So it looks like they R simalar with aggression as firemouth meeki is to own kind.Mine they R male 9-10cm (~3,5") female 8cm (~3").Ive aggreed with keeper to keep them more than 1+1 (looks like was my mistake :().
Let me ask brine shrimp is the same as Artemia:confused:
How big is Ur tank?Ive seen german keeper tank with few Th.ellioti,Parachromis loisellei,Vieja & Salvini, but the tank was 1200l=~317gal :WHOA:
U can open that site here: http://images.google.pl/imgres?imgurl=http://www.cichlidenseite.de/luetsch/l01.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.cichlidenseite.de/luetsch/luetsch.htm&h=393&w=567&sz=19&tbnid=YaTFwJ-Kn5SleM:&tbnh=93&tbnw=134&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dthorichthys%2Bellioti%26um%3D1&start=3&sa=X&oi=images&ct=image&cd=3

i would say tho.ellioti are more aggressive and grow abit bigger than the meeki. i keep both.
thoricthys.sp can be kept in a breeding group but atleast 6-8 to spread out aggression.
i think brine shrimp is the same artemia, you need the baby form to feed fry tho.
that tank looks great, like seeing the less aggressive cichlids hanging with the big boys in peace. mine used to be kept in a 120 with a wild caught festae, jag, jd pair and green terror and was fine but i wanted to spred out some of the stock so i put them in a 55 with some other smaller cichlids.

my understanding was that maculipinnis and aureus were 2 of the smaller Thorichthys species while meeki, helleri and mixteco green are the largest.
