i plan on setting up a 40 gal breeder with a colony of these guys. My questions is, is it possible to keep anything else with theseguys . I heard some people put live bearers with these guys. But i am not sure . Should i just leave the colony by itself or can i put some other fish in the 40 gal breeder with them and if i can what type of fish will go well

close relatives to fire mouths, that may work. but if you want it to be a breeding tank you should give them all the space you can. can you get them locally? or are you ordering from Rapps?(I've never seen them in person, but I know he has them.)

i am odering from rapps but i am not sure what i am going to get from him either those , sals or some predatory jewels he has

I wouldn't go with Belonesox belizanus due to their difficult feeding requirement, and that they would probably eat the fry when they get the chance.
