i was looking into the beautiful species of cichlids but i am not sure which one of the class to get. so i am asking people what they think is there personel favorite because i wanted one , but not sure which one to get

Meeki are popular for a reason. Some geographical variations within the species I've heard. I recently ordered some sp. Gold Mixtecos from Rapps that are nice but if you can find them, Blue Mixtecos are more striking in my opinion.
I think a pair of T. pasionis in breeding coloration take the prize for the genus. The yellow and black is amazing. Second would be the Rio Subin (sp?) variant of the regular Firemouth both Ken Davis and Jeff Rapes had a while back. But really, you can't go wrong with any of them IMO.
does anybody have pics of T. pasionis i looked up so pics and i thought there were a beautiful fish but the pics most of not did them justice cuz they did not look that great
personally, T. helleri and T. mixteco gold are my favorites. Unfortunately you won't find any good pics of adults online anywhere that I know of, but I've been to Rusty WEssel's and he has adult colonies of every species. These 2 were my favorites.
