so for those of you looking to take good pictures of your Aquarium without a pricey camera there’s this new app called Aquarium Cam. Was made by a member over on reef2reef works very well. It’s able to capture good quality pictures under actinic Lighting as well as any color Lighting. Costs around $3 on the App Store not available for Android that I know of just yet. I’ve been using it now for a few weeks love the quality of the pictures and videos. Will continue to be improved as well

That sounds pretty awesome, I'm gonna check it out. It might reconcile my love of fish pics and my dislike of breaking out the Nikon lol

Would you mind posting some pictures to show the quality? Sounds cool

Here’s some I took. So you can change 3 things, brightness, blue, and color. This is the same photo same time of day just doing a small adjustment to one or the other

I guess this is th best way to do it. One for one shot with a few different corals. First 3 pics are regular camera next 3 are the Aquarium camera. I’m not here to sell anyone on the $3 app that I did not create. Just hear to point out what’s available. I will just note it’s near impossible to take a good picture that shows the electric green color in the corals.

So playing around with the update today the huge difference is seen under the actinics. First three are regular iPhone pics. Next 3 are the app.

Could you post some pictures using it to take some freshwater fish pictures? I would like to see that instead of the corals to see if it makes much difference with them.
