When I first entered the room, the catfish didn't go to his rest spot like he normally does when I come in . He kept swimming around just cruising. The blue gills were very excited and the green sunfish kept following me as I walked.

The turtles did a fast dive under the water hyacinth and water lettuce. My favorite peeping small turtle called itself hiding and I walked right up to it and it stretched it's neck to see me. It didn't submerge, we kept looking at each other. This turtle always hides when it sees me.

The gouramis, harlequins, and rummy nose kept a gleeful eye on me. I watched the tank in action, with the rope fish swimming, cories busy with their daily activities and pleco and whip tails moving about.

I recently inherited 125 goldfish from a client that bought them on a whim for a party. Yeah, I know...trust me too long of a story. I added some water hyacinth in their home too. They were all busy nibbling on the plants. I had to work on the filter, so I was nibbled on too. The black moors were the first munchers followed by the white orandas with the red, orange and a few with regular color eyes.

I fed the natives and watched the green sunfish jump out the water to snatch meal worms that were hanging on the glass cover. I laughed because the green sunfish always amazes me. The blues were attacking the worms too. All you could hear was the popping sound of them hitting the water. After the sunfish were stuffed, I dropped the food for the catfish, it started inhaling the pellets. I gave the catfish meal worms, and it inhaled them and started chewing very rapidly. It is very funny to watch.

I gave the turtles meal worms also. They had been snacking on the water plants. They all went into stalk mode and pursued the worms. The catfish cleaned up all the food. I tossed more meal worms and the were devoured by the catfish. The sunfish tried to get them but they were too full, so they just hovered.

The turtles wanted more meal worms. I figured out that by the time I was through feeding the turtles, the catfish wanted more worms. By the time the catfish was through then the turtles wanted more. Round and round 6 six times.

I looked at my carnivorous pitcher plants trying to make a recovery from major sunburn. I saw my succulents and bromeliads recovering too.

I looked around at all my JUNGLE and thought, this is amazing. I had just bought 2 tire track eels, 1 more rope fish, 5 Black Ruby Barbs and a royal pleco. Both my new domesticated and wild animals are less afraid of me, they are eating well, showing their colors and behaviors and dancing about. I thought I must be doing something right...It is my mini fish room...I can't wait to get my 300 gallon...then it will be a FISH ROOM!!!

Just thoughts from the Jungle ;)
