Long story short, with the rise of LED lightings popularity in the hobby over here, i can no longer find good quality T5-HO bulbs in the 6500K range... only 13,000K bulbs in white color are available and crappy quality... which means i will soon need to upgrade to LED lighting myself...

I've been eyeing these two light setups for my 50G high tech planted tank for a while now and wondering what you all think??? Since hard to say whether the lighting color spectrum etc will really help my plants pops..

Nither system is cheap, but at least bulbs are replaceable and i've heard they are well built... not to mention fully programmable

Led are continuing being improved.
Mine have 80 individual bulbs, that will last 24 years longer than the switch used to turn it on and off.
A good mix of 450 nm and 660nm, with other will grow well.

They are not cheap! Wow. Definitely DIY, inspiration. I do like the Cree lights, I have a set on one of my algea scrubbers.

I like these lights coz of the possibilities and bulbs can be changed / replaced if need be...

The ZS 7000 being pretty much 100% programmable for each mode really made me drool...

zetlight does grow plants

Thanks, i knew they could grow plants (used some before), but was wondering what peoples thoughts on these two units were... either way, i spalshed out and got it anyway... so will review after a week..
