Would a 30" x 18" x 12" aquarium be appropriate for a pair of leopard geckos? Or should I just keep a single?

I have three reptiles on my "possible" list for summer additions:

  • Leopard Gecko
    Crested Gecko
    Mexican Black Kingsnake

I have the empty 30 breeder for the leos, and a ten gallon with locking screen lid for the MBK. I am thinking of an ExoTerra viv for the crested.

get the mex black............I am sooo pissed that i had to ge rid of mine yrs ago.........jet black looks awesome............especially when 4 ft long!!!:headbang2

I am considering leopard geckos as well. From what I have read, if you want more than one, you need three females to one male. Two males will fight and so should not be considered.

Any leopard gecko will attack each others. Males are more inclined to do so, however that doesn't means that one of the females will not harass the others or even the male himself. It is hard to tell if they will pair off or not. Some people never had a problem, while others have to split them.

Anyway in that setup, you can go for a pair of leopard geckos.

i wouldn't hesitate to put a male/female or female/female pair in that tank, although i think the kingsnake would probably be better off in it.
