Hi everyone I have severums and uarus. I just ran out of glass and bloodworms and the only thing I have left is some frozen squid that I feed my saltwater trigger. Do you think I can feed these guys squid or no

Yeah they're beautiful fish. I'm glad they liked it.

By the way, Glass and Bloodworms only isn't a good diet for these fish, they are omnivores that need some vegetable matter in their diet as well as different vitamins, etc to grow to their full potential. Ideally, you should get a high quality pellet formulated specially for them like Hikari Sinking Cichlid Gold or NLS Cichlid. These foods can be expensive but are actually cheaper than feeding a varied diet of fresh fruit, worms, crustaceans, insect larvae and vegetables like they have access to in the wild.

well i feed nls, bloodworms(favorite), glass worms, rarely but on occasion myosis shrimp, cucumber(they all take a grab at it when i feed it for my plecs), and this omega three flake food stuff. I just asked because i wanted to feed them frozen food and ran out of the worms.

I saw nls plus has more garlic or something to keep fish healthy and avoid parasites. Does anyone know if garlic actually kills parasites?
